What instrument can my child play?

• Violin, Viola, Cello, or Bass

Where do I get an instrument?

• Each student will need an instrument a few days after the new school year begins.
• More information will be emailed to you during the summer (once you complete the sign up form below). 

If my child plays the cello or bass, do they have to carry it back & forth every day?

• No, we will provide a cello or bass for school use. However, it is highly recommended to have a rental instrument at home for practice.

Does the school provide an instrument or music?

• Students will be required to purchase the first year book.
• Violin & Viola rentals are approximately $25 a month at local music stores.
• Cellos & Bass rentals range from about $35-45 monthly.

Should we start private lessons over the summer?

• No, please don’t! We will start from the beginning on the first day of school.

Is Orchestra a semester or year long class?

• Orchestra is a year long class and is designed to build to the next grade level each year.

Can my child do other activities if they are in Orchestra?

• Absolutely! Most Orchestra activities happen during the school day.

How do I know which Orchestra Class to enroll in?

• Orchestra High- Violin & Viola
• Orchestra Low- Cello & Bass
