YLX   Youth Leadership Exchange (YLX)

The Youth Leadership Exchange (YLX), a leadership development program under the Leadership Oklahoma City umbrella, is now accepting applications for its next cohort of high school students.

About YLX

YLX is a free leadership development program for high school students that focuses on:

  • Leadership and civic engagement
  • Career exploration and professional skills
  • Community impact and service
  • Building confidence and peer connections

  OSU Institute of Technology | Oklahoma City      Women In Industry - OSU

OSU Institute of Technology and the School of Engineering and Construction Technologies invites you to attend Women in Industry on March 31st, 2026 from 9:30am-1pm! 

This event is open to all high school (9-12th grades), adult, and career tech young women wanting to learn about careers in industry! 

Lunch is provided and each participant will be able to talk with various industry partners, get free swag, among other exciting opportunities to become part of our growing workforce!

Boys State & Girls State 

Boys State and Girls State are summer leadership programs for current juniors. Participants spend a week on a college campus learning about government and developing hands-on leadership skills, and may also earn college credit.

Scholarships are available to pay for the program. Reach out to erickavancleave@dcsok.org to receive the scholarship application.

Scholarships

Oklahoma Promise
Students in grades 8–12 with a qualifying family income may receive up to four years of free Oklahoma college tuition.
Deadline: December 31 of senior year

  • Deer Creek Schools Foundation Scholarships
    Three annual awards exclusive to Deer Creek seniors. Amounts and eligibility vary each year.
    Deadline: Spring (see site for current dates)

  • DCHS Scholarship Opportunities Spreadsheet
    Updated throughout the year with active scholarships and curated search tools.
    Deadline: Varies

  • OERB Scholarship
    Each year, we award up to $500,000 to students majoring in petroleum-related fields at the University of Oklahoma (OU), the University of Tulsa (TU) and Oklahoma State University (OSU). Each OERB Petroleum Scholar has the opportunity to be awarded up to $22,500 in scholarships throughout their college career. Click the link below for more information.
